DEFEAT was not unexpected at Ibrox – but the manner of it has left many Saints fans pretty upset. We really shot ourselves in the foot by conceding so early, and defensive blunders cost us all three goals. We host St Mirren on Saturday and, given we have tough fixtures ahead against Motherwell and Hibs, three points this week are vital.
Collin Samuel was a massive miss on Saturday, and if he's out for an extended period I feel we'll struggle. We have a midfield that can compete with just about any side in the league – but our defence has been letting us down all season.
This period will be a real test of Derek McInnes' managerial abilities. If we get to the New Year with a couple more wins under our belts, then we'll be flying. But if we fail to win any of the matches, we'll be in serious danger.
