SPL Fanzone: Motherwell
NEWSPAPER reports often praise exciting games like Saturday's Lanarkshire derby but while a high-tempo 2-2 draw is definitely better to watch than a dour 0-0, most Motherwell fans still left the ground feeling frustrated.
The phrase 'a great game for a neutral' is surely now completely redundant – few neutrals will spend over 20 for entry to a Scottish game. And the Motherwell fans in attendance would definitely have preferred Ross Forbes to score the penalty and see out a quiet 1-0 victory which would have given us two more vital points.
But the end of the first third is an excellent time to reflect on the campaign so far and we can be very pleased. We are comfortably in the top half and 18 points at this stage is more than Mark McGhee managed in either of his seasons at the club.
