SPL Fanzone: Hearts
A MUCH improved performance from Hearts on Saturday which fully merited at least a point – if only we could say the same for the officials.
After the Hamilton debacle you would have expected the SPL to appoint an experienced referee for this game. Unfortunately we got Mr Norris who did nothing to dispel current sentiments at Tynecastle about unfair treatment from the men in black.
The reaction to Kingston as he departed the field may have seemed harsh, but it represented a frustration that has been building for a long time now at his total lack of commitment to the club. I believe it would be in the interests of all parties if he did not return after the African Nations Cup.
Sunday's game is a huge one for Hearts; hopefully Willie Collum will want to showcase good quality officiating in front of the cameras.
