SPL Fanzone: Falkirk

FOR Falkirk the season really begins on Saturday with the visit of St Johnstone in the first of three meetings with them before the end of the season. Those games and the two with both Hamilton and St Mirren and another with Kilmarnock and Aberdeen will be the ones that decide the Bairns SPL fate – any points from Hibs and Motherwell may well be classed as a bonus by many fans but to be honest they are most definitely on my radar.

If the type of performances Steven Pressley has dragged out of our side since taking charge can be repeated in the remaining games I am convinced we will stay in the top flight. Certainly the only real difference between Celtic and the Bairns on Sunday was a certain 65K-a-week striker.

It may be the beginning of the fight of our lives and it is a battle we are going to win.
