SPL: Dons manager hails decision over Mulgrew
ABERDEEN boss Jimmy Calderwood is delighted to have Charlie Mulgrew available for tomorrow's crucial Clydesdale Bank Premier League clash with Hibs.
The defender was set to miss the Dons' final games through suspension after he was sent off by referee Stuart Dougal at Ibrox last weekend.
However, the Scottish Football Association's review panel yesterday reduced the red card to a yellow, meaning the former Celtic trainee is free to line up against Mixu Paatelainen's men.
Calderwood said: "Stuart Dougal phoned me on Thursday to apologise about the incident. We all make mistakes in life and the matter is finished as far as I'm concerned. It is fabulous to have Charlie back. I think he has won us about 25 points this season with his deliveries into the box. He has also chipped in with a few goals himself."
The Dons go into Sunday's crunch match against the Easter Road side knowing a win coupled with a Dundee United defeat to Rangers would guarantee them a place in Europe next season.
Calderwood is looking for Mulgrew to provide the ammunition for his forwards to help secure a precious victory and possibly entry into next season's Europa League.
