Speedway: Hungarian signs for Monarchs
EDINBURGH MONARCHS have completed their 2010 line-up by signing their first-ever Hungarian rider, writes DAVID KINVIG.
The Capital speedway outfit have snapped up 20-year-old Jozsef Tabaka, who was reserve at this year's world under-21 championship. "I would like to thank Monarchs promoter John Campbell for giving me the chance to ride in the UK. I'm hoping the Edinburgh team will be a successful one," he said.
Tabaka's capture means there is no place for Polish ace Michal Rajkowski, who said: "I hope to ride for Monarchs one day again in the future."
Monarchs were keen that their former No.1 William Lawson would return to Armadale but he has joined Elite League Belle Vue Aces as their new reserve.
