Spartans to the four
Spartans continued with their build-up to the new season with a 4-0 victory against Easthouses Lily with goals from David Etale (2), Alex King and Dean Hoskins. Craigroyston lost 3-1 to Highland League side, Keith, while Preston Athletic were beaten 2-1 by another Highland League team, Cove Rangers.
Civil Service Strollers lost 3-0 to Newtongrange Star, Heriot- Watt University drew 2-2 with Tayside Juniors club, Carnoustie Panmure, and Edinburgh City returned from Dundee after losing 4-1 to Lochee United. Tynecastle lost 3-1 to Tayport Juniors, Stirling University beat Spartans Juniors 1-0 and Vale of Leithen overcame Kirriemuir Thistle 3-1.
