McPherson slays Auld Enemy

Edinburgh’s Julie McPherson claimed the winning point against England and helped Scotland win the Home Countries Quadrangular at the National Academy at Scotstoun in Glasgow.

After 7-2 triumphs over Ireland and Wales, the home side beat the defending champions by an impressive 6-3 margin.

Against England, McPherson, the Scottish under-17 and under-15 Scottish Champion, won her doubles and then clinched the home win with a 21-11 21-9 triumph over Joshmyn Bong.
