John Higgins match-fixing scandal: Agent also acts for finalist Graeme Dott
JOHN Higgins's agent, Pat Mooney, 47, is also manager of Graeme Dott, the Scot who is bidding to become world champion in the final at the Crucible in Sheffield.
Until his resignation yesterday, Mr Mooney sat on the board of the World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association (WPBSA).
He started his professional life as a Glasgow businessman working in marketing and business administration. He came into snooker as the manager of Higgins and Dott and has co-promoted World Series Snooker with Higgins for two years.
He was invited on to the WPBSA board by Barry Hearn this year, but resigned yesterday in the wake of the snooker match-fixing allegations.
