Second Division: Robbie Winters rescues Livingston
DUMBARTON had looked like they were going to surprise runaway leaders Livingston by taking all three points from their hosts, but the First Division-bound Lions hit back late to earn a 1-1 draw.
Sons' Pat Walker headed home an Andy Geggan free kick eight minutes from half time. But substitute Robbie Winters ensured Livingston maintained their unbeaten home record this season when he prodded home an equaliser with ten minutes left.
Brechin City's play-off place had begun to look in jeopardy after a seven-game run without a win but star striker Rory McAllister returned from a three-game suspension by grabbing a hat-trick in the 3-1 win over hosts Stenhousemuir.
The win sees the Glebe Park men go into the final Saturday of the league season in fourth place, needing only a draw at home to Ayr United to face First Division Cowdenbeath in the semi-final. Should they lose and fifth-placed East Fife win at Airdrie United, it will be the Fifers that extend their season.
East Fife made it 17 points out of the last 21 to keep right on the coat-tails of Brechin when they defeated visitors Alloa 3-1. Ryan Wallace opened the scoring for the New Bayview side after only 16 minutes.
Matthew Park headed a second on 54 minutes before the Wasps pulled a goal back through Kevin Motion.
Ayr United held on to second place which brings with it the advantage of being at home in the second leg of the play-offs when they defeated Airdrie United 3-1 at Somerset Park.
After a goalless first half Scott Morton gave the Diamonds the lead two minutes into the restart. Within a minute Rhys Devlin blundered and Andy Rodgers took full advantage to shoot home.
Rodgers put the Honest Men ahead when he converted a penalty after Ross Robertson was felled by Kieran Stallard, and Michael Moffat ended a three goal in 17 minute spell with the third.
Forfar saw off relegated Peterhead 2-1 at Station Park.
