Second division: Peterhead set to part company with Neale Cooper
AFTER eight games without a win, and still to record an away win this season, Peterhead are expected to announce today that they have parted company with manager Neale Cooper.
Paterson has been with Peterhead for three years, and has been under increasing pressure in recent weeks with the Balmoor club propping up the league. It appears that Saturday's 2-1 home defeat to Ayr United was his last game in charge.
Former Montrose and Cove Rangers manager John Sheran is tipped to take over ahead of tonight's match at home to Stenhousemuir. Sheran has been out of management for the past couple of years.
Stenhousemuir look set to include Brian Gilmour in their squad as Eric Paton is struggling with injury and Iain Thomson is suspended. Striker Scott Dalziel could start after a substitute appearance at the weekend and midfielder Ross Clark is available after injury. However, manager David Irons has concerns in the centre of his defence, with Scott Fusco, Scott Gibb and Jordan Smith all struggling.
