Second division: Ayr turn tables on Brechin to move to within a point

Michael McGowan's goal was enough for Alloa to beat ten-man Airdrie 1-0 at Recreation Park.
McGowan's fourth goal in three games came in the 27th minute. Airdrie's Grant Smith was sent off on the stroke of half time.
Ayr United 3, Forfar Athletic 1
Ayr got their revenge as they beat the Angus side 3-1 at Somerset Park.
Stuart Bannigan gave the home side an eighth minute lead and Mark Roberts doubled that. Michael Bolocheweckyj pulled one back, but Bannigan's second secured the win.
Brechin City 1, East Fife 3
East Fife could still make the promotion play-off after a fine 3-1 win.
Mark McCulloch gave the visitors a 27th minute lead and an Andy Cook own goal made it 2-0. Ewan Moyes got Brechin back into it, but Ryan Wallace completed the scoring.
Dumbarton 5, Peterhead 2
Dumbarton thrashed doomed Peterhead 5-2.
Jon McShane, Pat Walker, Jordan Halsman, a Mark Gilhaney penalty and Craig McLeish scored for Dumbarton, with Dennis Wyness and David Ross on target for Peterhead.
