Second division: Ayr breathe again after seven-goal scrap goes their way
Ayr United 4, Stenhousemuir 3
Mark Robert scored his 11th penalty of the season to give Ayr the lead only for Ross Clark to equalise, also from the spot. Jim Lauchlan, Ross Robertson and Robert's second had Ayr 4-1 ahead but Simon Lynch and Jordan Smith struck to set up a tense finish.
Dumbarton 1, Brechin City 2
Dougie Hill gave the visitors a 22nd-minute lead and although Rory McAllister missed a second-half penalty, after Martin McNiff saw red for Dumbarton, Craig Molloy made it 2-0. Mark Gilhaney set up a nervy finish but Brechin held on.
Livingston 4, East Fife 3
Keaghan Jacobs scored in the first and last minutes as Livingston won in a thrilling encounter. Liam Fox doubled the home advantage but Bobby Linn, Stevie Crawford and David Muir put the visitors ahead before Bobby Barr then Jacobs scored.
Peterhead 4, Alloa Athletic 1
Peterhead put a dent in Alloa's promotion hopes as the Blue Toon won 4-1 at Balmoor. Stuart Noble put Alloa ahead but Dennis Wyness equalised and Martin Bavidge then put the hosts 2-1 up. Wyness's second and Connor Gethans made sure.
