Cowdenbeath 2 East Fife 1
Cowdenbeath got the better of the Fife derby in the glorious sunshine at Central Park.
Brian Fairbairn got the hosts off to a great start after only two minutes, following up Jon Robertson's long-range shot.
Player-manager Stevie Crawford led by example as he got the Methil men an equaliser ten minutes later, spinning well to hook a shot past David Hay.
The scoring was complete by the 14th minute as Robertson struck. The visitors deserved a share of the points but could not find a way past an inspired Hay in the Cowdenbeath goal.
The result means the home team close to within three points of league leaders Stirling Albion.
