Second Division round-up

Queen's Park 1 Alloa Athletic 2

ALLOA picked up their first away win of the season as 10-man Spiders threw away an early lead.

Paul Harkins fired Queens in front after 12 minutes, netting from Ian Watt's right wing cutback.

Queens had Barry Douglas sent off at the start of the second half. Greig Spence levelled from the resulting free kick after David Crawford fumbled the ball. Just as the game looked set for a draw, Stuart Noble fired home a dramatic late winner.

Stranraer 1

Arbroath 5

ARBROATH hit five to go 12 points clear of Stranraer at the foot of the table.

Robbie Ross headed the first after three minutes and Robbie Raeside doubled the lead from the penalty spot.

Stephen McConalogue pulled a goal back, but David McGowan restored the two-goal cushion with a glancing header. After Stranraer had Martin McBride sent off at the start of the second half, Ross and Kevin McMullen completed the rout.
