Second Division: Muir's three-goal advantage too much for Alloa to overcome

STENHOUSEMUIR will be flattered by the scoreline after they ran out 4-1 winners over Alloa at Recreation Park.

Craig Molloy opened the scoring in the 22nd minute with the visitors' first chance of the match. Kevin Motion and Scott Dalziel then made it 3-0 before half time.

Alloa were given a lifeline by Scott Buist, but Pat Scullion restored a three-goal advantage.

Brechin City 2 Clyde 2

BRECHIN just salvaged their unbeaten home record, with Charlie King's last-gasp leveller securing a draw with Clyde.

Willie Sawyers had given Clyde a 1-0 half-time lead before Rory McAllister equalised in the 68th minute.

Just as the game looked to be finishing 1-1, Paul McLeod popped up with two minutes to go to give Clyde the advantage but King had other ideas.

Cowdenbeath 2 Dumbarton 1

COWDENBEATH are still top of the table as they came from behind to beat Dumbarton at Central Park.

Andrew Geggins capitalised on a John Armstrong mistake to curl Dumbarton in front before Paul McQuade equalised from the penalty spot.

The turnaround was completed eight minutes from time when Scott Linton crossed for McQuade to finish from close range.

East Fife 1 Stirling Albion 2

MARTIN Grehan gave Stirling a late win at New Bayview.

Paul McManus had given the home side a first-half lead before David O'Brian equalised five minutes into the second period.

Grehan kept Stirling a point off the top as he fired a last-minute winner.

Peterhead 1 Arbroath 2

ARBROATH got their first win under new boss Jim Weir as they overcame Peterhead at Balmoor.

Barry Sellars got Arbroath's first goal under Weir when he struck just before the half time whistle.

Martin Bavidge pulled Peterhead level on the hour mark before substitute Steven Doris grabbed the winner with 11 minutes to go.
