Scots in hunt for Asian Tour cards
CHRIS Campbell and Mark Lamb open their challenge for an Asian Tour card in stage one of the qualifying school in Thailand today.
The Scottish duo are among 416 players competing over three courses where the top 29 at each venue after 72 holes will progress to next week's final stage.
Other players involved over the next four days include former Amateur champion Warren Bladon and double European Tour winner Mark Mouland.
Spanish Gold for PGA's Jones
SANDY Jones, the Scottish chief executive of the PGA, has joined a celebrated list of names after being awarded the Gold Medal by the Murcia Golf Federation.
The 62-year-old from Glasgow received the award for his services to European golf and his support for the Murcia region of Spain which is home to the PGAs of Europe.
Other recipients of the Gold Medal over the years include Seve Ballesteros and Jack Nicklaus.
Tait switches to Dalmahoy post
ALAN Tait has made his third major move in two years after taking up the director of golf role at Dalmahoy near Edinburgh.
The former Tartan Tour No1 has held similar positions at the Carrick on Loch Lomond and the new Spey Valley resort in Aviemore.
John Murray has left Gleneagles for the Moray club in Lossiemouth, while Ron Walker has taken up the head pro job at Lundin Links after a spell at the Duke's course, St Andrews.
