Scots to face Auld Enemy in World Cup
SCOTLAND will face England in the Rugby World Cup for the first time in 20 years after being paired with the Auld Enemy in Pool B for the 2011 event in New Zealand.
Scotland will also face Argentina, another European country and a play-off winner. Scotland coach Frank Hadden said: "It's a good draw and one that gives Scotland every chance of maintaining our proud record of being one of only five countries to qualify for the quarter-final of every World Cup."
Scotland's only previous World Cup meeting with England was the 1991 semi-final at Murrayfield, which finished 9-6 to the visitors. England coach Martin Johnson said: "Playing Scotland in the World Cup will be a hell of a game, with huge passion."
