Scotland vs France: Fans' views on Scotland's display
Jordan Grant, Marchmont: "I would give a few guys plus marks – Cusiter, Beattie, Lamont but too many were off the pace. Euan Murray will be back next week and that should make a difference."
Matthew Chapman, Marchmont: "I haven't seen the Scottish scrum struggle so much for years. Dickinson is good in the loose but he doesn't have the same bulk as Jacobsen."
Kevin McDonald, Dedridge: "I was disappointed in Nathan Hines. He has been a big player for Scotland in the last couple of seasons but he looked like he was off the pace."
Allan Turner, Joppa: "Pluses – Beattie, Lamont, Ford, Max Evans. Minuses – can't score tries, dominated in the scrum, no composure in the opposition 22. It can only improve over the coming weeks. Wales are no great shakes so I'm disappointed with the result but I'm going to Cardiff and I think we can win down there."
Les Turner, Dalkeith: "Moving Chris Paterson to stand off just doesn't work. Apart from his goal kicking, he wasn't great at full back and then when he moved forward I just felt it reduced the chances of scoring rather than increase."
Finlay McAndrew, Edinburgh: "I'm sure there will be a lot of negativity now but, let's face it, we are improving."
Martin Galloway, Corstorphine: "I've heard a few guys saying that Lamont played well but where was he for the first try? Bastareaud will never score an easier try."
Fraser Andrew, Newhaven: "Maybe it's too early for Ruaridh Jackson but I would like to see him on the bench, maybe against Italy, and introduce him gradually to international rugby."
Harry Thomson, Tranent: "Pretty shabby performance. France were okay but not world beaters."
Lawrie Thomson, Tranent: "It's the usual story – you go into these matches feeling optimistic and you end up feeling deflated. The difference between Scotland and everybody else is that they have all scored tries, even Italy, and we could have played all night and we still wouldn't have scored."
