School sports tennis: Neil and Torrance team up for title

VICTORY in last weekend’s Irish U19 International in Dublin confirmed that Josh Neil and Ben Torrance, both Glasgow School of Sport graduates, have taken a step up as a doubles partnership this season.

Last month, the Prestwick pair reached the quarter-finals of the Belgian International.

In the Irish final, the Scots faced Ireland’s Jonathan Dolan and David Walsh, who had earlier knocked out Glasgow School of Sport’s Adam Hall and Calum Stevenson. Neil and Torrance won a thriller 21-11, 17-21, 21-18 to take the title.
