Sapp leads way for Rocks
AMERICAN guard Jessie Sapp grabbed 31 points and 11 assists last night as Glasgow Rocks crushed crisis club Worcester Wolves 111-59 to move up to seventh place in the BBL.
The visitors were forced to draft in nine players from their lower-league side after sacking six first-choice stars on Friday when the rebel group threatened to strike.
With Worcester coach Chuck Evans also quitting, Glasgow showed no mercy to open up a 63-26 lead at half-time.
And with Rocks debutant Michael Crowell hitting 17, the hosts shook off the absence of suspended coach Sterling Davis to record the second-largest win in club history.
Stand-in boss Rob Yanders said: "We just wanted to run the things we needed to work on.
"It can be hard to get motivated in this kind of situation but Sterling did a good job of getting us ready.
"But we didn't want to just run the score up. We want to be respected."
