The Scotsman Rugby Show Episode 17

Waiting for Video...

THE Scotsman Rugby Show this week features the aftermath of the Scotland-Wales Six Nations match with reactions from both camps, coaches and players, after Saturday’s world record-creating Test match at Murrayfield.

We also turn the club spotlight on the rise of the men from Ayr, who are now targeting the league and cup double after pipping Gala to the Premiership title. Kenny Murray, the head coach, pays tribute to the work of the southern hemisphere imports brought to Millbrae, on the pitch and off, but tells us how the club’s aim now is to produce a XV of locally-produced talent.

We also feature action from the Scottish cup quarter-final clash between Selkirk and Melrose and John Jeffrey, aka ‘The White Shark’, drops into our ‘Five Quick Questions’ chair with some interesting choices among memories from his rugby career. What tops the 1990 Grand Slam win in his recollection of favourite games? You won’t guess it.

Thanks for all the comments on the programme so far and ideas for interviews. Which Scottish legend do you wish to see in the ‘Five Quick Questions’? To get in touch email us at: davidferg@btinternet.com
