Six Nations: Win ringside seats beside home dug-out

Trackside seats are up for grabs for Scotlands home matches against Ireland and Wales

Trackside seats are up for grabs for Scotlands home matches against Ireland and Wales

SCOTLAND supporters who want to get nearer the action at Murrayfield are being urged to apply for last-minute tickets in a bid to win seats beside the Scotland team dug-out.

As part of a new supporter initiative launched by new sponsors Caledonia Best, four supporters were given trackside seats for the recent RBS Six Nations match against Italy and were waited on by former Scotland winger Kenny Logan. The “Scottish Rugby/Caledonia Best Seat in the House” competition brought long-time supporters Scott Campbell, Kenneth Mackie, Willie Laing and Keith Clews to the special sports seats right beside the Scotland bench.

Campbell, from Livingston, said: “It was absolutely brilliant – a real ‘money can’t buy’ experience.

“Kenny Logan was giving us stick but we gave him some back and he was keeping us up on what was going on in the game.”

Logan also kept the supporters refreshed with pizza and beer, and they were even high-fived by prop Euan Murray when he was replaced.

There are still 2,000 tickets left for Sunday’s match against Ireland and a similar number for the Welsh game, so for your chance to join a Scottish rugby legend in the “Caledonia Best Seat in the House”, buy a ticket for Scotland’s next home match against Ireland (Sunday 24 February) or against Wales (Saturday 9 March) and then enter your details at www.caledoniabest.com/rugby
