Rugby: Stirling u18s start cup defence at Hamilton

SCOTLAND’S under-18 RBS National Youth League Cup is due to begin tomorrow, weather permitting, with eight ties scheduled across the country.

Defending champions Stirling County start their campaign against Hamilton at Bridgehaugh, while Boroughmuir face Peebles Colts at Meggetland, Biggar take on Glasgow Hawks and Lasswade travel to Highland. Dumfries and Ayr are at home to Gala Wanderers and Haddington respectively, while Kirkcaldy and Ellon travel to Hawick Wanderers and Melrose Wasps. All games will hinge on pith inspections, however.

In the younger age-group Currie and Mackie play on the Murrayfield 3G pitch at 12.30pm tomorrow, followed on the same pitch by GHA and Dunfermline.
