Rugby: Samoa beat Fiji

FIJI’S preparations for this week’s Test match with Scotland suffered a setback with a 29-26 Pacific Nations Cup defeat to Samoa.

David Lemi scored two tries as impressive Samoa followed up their 20-18 win over Tonga to top the standings in the four-nation competition. Both teams scored three tries but stand-off Ki Anufe led Samoa to victory by contributing 14 points from a conversion and four penalties.

Tonga won 24-20 against Japan to inflict a second loss on the defending champions.
