Rugby: Pumas pounce

FELIPE Contepomi scored a try and added 17 points with his boot as Argentina came from behind to beat Italy 37-22 in a one-off Test in San Juan.

The 21st-minute sin-binning of Julio Farias-Cabello paved the way for the Azzurri to go 10-3 in front with a converted penalty try. However, Argentina hit back with Tomas Leonardi dotting down. Contepomi continued to be accurate with his boot but Edoardo Gori scored a try for Italy.

But the Pumas pulled away with Rodrigo Roncero, Leonardo Senatore and Contepomi all touching down before Mauro Bergamasco grabbed a late score for Italy.
