Rugby: Kelly can’t wait to face his mates
SARACENS’ Scotland international Kelly Brown is relishing the prospect of being the “enemy” on home soil as he faces a Scottish club for the first time since moving south.
The flanker, who has recovered from a dislocated fibula to get back into the Sarries team, knows Murrayfield well from his Scotland days. He said: “It will be interesting, but I’m really looking forward to it. It will feel a bit strange to play against so many of my mates, but I am now an exile so I’m going up there with the enemy, so to speak.
“Obviously, I’ve played there many times with Scotland, but quite a few times with Glasgow as well. So I know what it’s like to play against Edinburgh.”
Brown is also desperate to get back in the Scotland side. “I’ve spoken to Andy Robinson. I just need to keep doing what I’m doing and everything will take care of itself.”
