Mike Blair out of Australia Test with ankle injury
EDINBURGH and British Lions scrum-half Mike Blair has failed a fitness test on his ankle and will miss the Autumn rugby test against Australia at Murrayfield tomorrow.
• Mike Blair
He had already missed out on the starting berth to his Scotland co-captain Chris Cusiter of Glasgow Warriors and now his place on the bench will go to Rory Lawson of Gloucester
Lawson 28, has been capped 15 times. His promotion to the full Scotland squad means that Edinburgh's Greig Laidlaw will start for the Scotland A team in tonight's match against Tonga at Netherdale, Galashiels. Mark McMillan (Glasgow Warriors) has been added to the Scotland A bench.
The Scotland A game is definitely on and kicks-off at 7.30pm. Admission to that match is free and gates open at 6pm.
