Grant to lead Watsonians

Harris Grant will captain Watsonians as they welcome Haddington to Myreside in the RBS Edinburgh Regional Cup (7:30pm), looking for their 13th win in a row in all competitions.

Regular skipper Mark Rennie is unavailable and vice-captain Ben Di Rollo is expected to be out long-term through injury. Centre Scott McKean returns to the starting XV, with Mike Ker at stand-off.

Watsonians assistant coach Conan Sharman said: “Having been pushed hard by Murrayfield Wanderers last week we will not be taking Haddington lightly.”

RBS Championship B side Haddington were edged out 17-16 in their opening Cup match against Musselburgh six days ago. They are coached by ex-Scotland centre Tom Philip who had a brief stint helping out at Watsonians a couple of years ago.
