Gavin Henson suspended after on-flight incident

CARDIFF Blues utility back Gavin Henson was last night suspended “with immediate effect” following an incident on the flight back from Scotland after Friday night’s 31-3 defeat at Glasgow Warriors.

The Welsh club’s management team will meet tomorrow to further discuss the matter, but last night announced the decision had been made to suspend the 30-year-old Wales centre.

A Cardiff Blues spokesperson said: “Gavin Henson has been suspended with immediate effect following an incident on the flight back from Scotland after the match against Glasgow Warriors last night.”

The reality TV star and former Ospreys, Saracens and Toulon player has previous form, having been suspended by the French club after just two weeks following an altercation in a nightclub.
