Boroughmuir 40-20 Dundee: Boroughmuir grab relegation lifeline

The hosts took the lead after three minutes when Rob Cairns raced in at the corner.

Six minutes later, he was joined on the score sheet by Sam Johnson, who left Harry Leonard with a simple conversion. Sep Visser claimed number three when he kicked ahead then won the race to the line. Having failed to convert pressure into points, Dundee resorted to the boot of Jack Steele to open their account with a penalty although that was swiftly cancelled out by a Leonard three-pointer. Before half-time, Johnson bagged the bonus point try for a 25-3 lead.

The visitors restarted well and Richie Hawkins pounced to claim a try, converted by Steele. However, Leonard retaliated with a penalty before Malcolm Clapperton darted over. Stevie Wilson added gloss with a converted score before Dundee tries from Brandyn Laursen and Steele completed the scoring.
