Fixtures hit by big freeze

THE big freeze took its toll on Scottish rugby at the weekend, with only three RBS Premiership matches – including the top-of-the-table clash between Ayr and Gala – being played.

All of the National League fixtures were wiped out and only four games in the RBS Championship leagues were possible, with the leaders of both the A and B divisions, Falkirk and Howe of Fife, taking the opportunity to extend their leads.
