SCOTLAND’s national head coach Vern Cotter hopes the side he’s picked for the first of the Autumn Tests can “have a real go” at opponents Argentina.
The starting XV contains ten players from Glasgow Warriors, including all but two members of the entire back division.
In contrast, there are just two Edinburgh bodies starting the Test, both of them front-row forwards.
The selection is also noted for the inclusion of the Gray brothers, Richie and Jonny, who line-up beside each other for the first time.
Talking to Scottish Rugby TV’s Jim Mason, Cotter goes through what he believes his side is capable of.
“It’s a team that I think has an exciting back-line,” said Cotter, “[with] midfielders who are capable of breaking through and hopefully scoring some tries.
“I’ve got a four pack that’s mobile. They should give us a sound base at set phase times, but also be able to get the ball and run with it and cause problems for Argentina’s defence.
“We’re looking forward to it. We hope to have a real go at them.”
