ROBERT Gordon College’s pupils have reason to celebrate. Firstly, the Under-15 team won the North Schools Cup in a hard-fought 34-7 final against Plockton High School. Try scorers were Clark Geddes, Luke Simpson, and Ruairi Lukins (2) who also kicked with two conversions and was named man of the match.
Secondly, 16-year-old Katie Hibbert is celebrating her selection as one of the youngest players in the Scottish Hockey Under-18 training squad.
The Udny youngster is in her first year at under-18 level and she said: “I was so pleased to be selected to travel to England for the Four Nations tournament. We played Holland, Germany and England and made it through to the bronze medal match where we won 1-0 against England.”
