SCOTLAND’S Stuart Hogg has been selected at stand-off in the Lions side to play the Combined Country at Hunter Stadium in Newcastle, New South Wales, on Tuesday.

Hogg has featured twice at full-back for the Lions, including his role in yesterday’s win over Queensland Reds. But this is his first selection in the pivotal No.10 role.

Fellow Scot Richie Gray was also named in the starting XV for Tuesday. The lock is one of three players starting their second game in a row, along with Hogg and Alex Cuthbert.

Another Scot, Ryan Grant, is on the bench after being called up as injury cover.
