A CELEBRATION of former Scotland and Edinburgh prop Allan Jacobsen’s career takes place on Saturday when Preston Lodge play rugby charity team, The Pigbarians, at Pennypit Park.
The occasion will also be used to mark the opening of Preston Lodge’s new clubhouse at the ground.
Jacobsen, who won 65 caps for Scotland, retired from international rugby in November last year, and from all professional rugby at the end of last season. He will turn out for Preston Lodge, where he began his career.
The Pigbarians raises money for the children’s charity, Dreamz4U, and Jacobsen has served as honorary president for a number of years.
Several former internationals have been named in The Pigbarians squad, including winger Craig Joiner, full-back Derrick Lee and prop Barry Stewart, as well as former Glasgow coach Sean Lineen. The match kicks off at 3pm.
