Ross helps Kingussie to third title in a row
KINGUSSIE were yesterday crowned 2009 shinty champions after edging the closest title fight in Premier League history.
Yesterday's 5-1 victory for Jimmy Gow's men over Kyles saw them secure their third championship in a row on goal difference.
Typically it was Ronald Ross who gift-wrapped the silver salver with four goals, taking his season tally to an incredible 92. Youngster Ryan Borthwick got the other on a day which also marked the end of manager Gow's reign.
"Of course it is emotional," Gow said. "I have been with the club for over 30 years as a player and manager."
