Referees are named for 2010 Six Nations
THE refereeing appointments for the 2010 Six Nations have been announced, with Welshman Nigel Owens in charge of Scotland's opener against France.
Six Nations appointments: 6 February: Ireland v Italy (Romain Poite, France); England v Wales (Alain Rolland, Ireland). 7 February – Scotland v France (Nigel Owens, Wales); 13 February – Wales v Scotland (George Clancy, Ireland); France v Ireland (Wayne Barnes, England). 14 February – Italy v England (Christophe Berdos, France); 26 February – Wales v France (Jonathan Kaplan, South Africa); 27 February – Italy v Scotland (Dave Pearson, England); England v Ireland (Mark Lawrence, South Africa); 13 March – Ireland v Wales (Craig Joubert, South Africa); Scotland v England (Marius Jonker, South Africa); 14 March – France v Italy (Alan Lewis, Ireland); 20 March – Wales v Italy (Wayne Barnes, England); Ireland v Scotland (Jonathan Kaplan, South Africa); France v England (Bryce Lawrence, New Zealand).
