Raith aiming to swiftly get back level with Ayr
RAITH Rovers will be going all out to pull level again with leaders Ayr United after the Somerset Park men took all three points from Kirkcaldy on Saturday. Second bottom Queen's Park stand in their way tonight, with Rovers manager John McGlynn saying: "Our aim is to be at least level with Ayr United on points by the time they kick off against East Fife tomorrow night."
McGlynn has midfielders Stephen Simmons and Allan Walker available before bans kick in at the weekend although Laurie Ellis and Chris Silvestro are likely to both be missing. Queen's Park head coach Gardner Speirs has defender Jamie Brough available before he is banned at the weekend and he looks likely to deputise for captain Richard Sinclair who is struggling with a combination of ankle and knee knocks.
Stirling Albion saw their promotion hopes take a knock against Brechin when they went down 3-2, and manager Allan Moore will be looking for his side to bounce back against Peterhead. Moore is boosted by the return of on-loan Falkirk defender Scott Gibb from suspension, while Neale Cooper's Peterhead look likely to welcome back goalkeeper Paul Jarvie after a cut ankle kept him out of the weekend win over East Fife. Defender Bobby Mann is likely to miss out though.
