Rain washes out play-offs
RAIN has forced the Scottish cricket season into extra time after this weekend's SNCL play-offs were washed out.
And the authorities are now struggling to find a ground to stage the crunch clash between Heriot's and Forfarshire next weekend. That game, with a place in next season's top flight at stake, was due to take place at Freuchie today with a reserve date tomorrow.
But flooding has left the ground unplayable, and it is unavailable next weekend.
Penicuik's clash with Dumfries and the fixture between Fauldhouse and Kelburne to determine places in the first and second divisions have also been called off.
These games are now due to be played next weekend at Stirling.
