Owls not in for Nigel Worthington
THE Irish Football Association has not been approached by any club as speculation continues to mount about manager Nigel Worthington's future.
The former Norwich manager has expressed an interest in the vacant Sheffield Wednesday job.
Worthington has a soft spot for the club, having spent over a decade at Hillsborough as a player. He has begun talks with the IFA about a new contract and those are on-going.
"The Irish FA would like to confirm that it has not been approached by any club requesting permission to speak to Nigel." read the statement.
