Hockey: CALA need turnaround

CALA Edinburgh need a miracle to save them from a swift return to indoor hockey’s Division Two.

The Division One bottom-markers, promoted last season, have earned only one point from their nine matches so far.

They face league pace-setters Grove Menzieshill plus second-bottom Clydesdale and fifth-placed Dundee Wanderers at Perth tomorrow.

Second-top Inverleith, who sit on 24 points, also face three tough games, with clashes against Kelburne, Wanderers and Clydesdale lined up.

Inverleith are looking for form ahead of hosting the European Indoor Club Trophy at Napier University in February.
