Glasgow Rocks close in on crown

Glasgow Rocks can clinch the Scottish women’s league title this weekend by winning their remaining two games, away to St Mirren in Paisley tonight and at home to Tayside Musketeers at Cumbernauld on Sunday (12.20pm).

It would be straining credibility to suggest they could lose both games and let Polonia Phoenix back into the title race, although Saints have been improving all season and Tayside did spring an upset when they knocked Rocks out of the Scottish Cup.

Polonia have their final regular season game at home to Pentland Star at the Crags centre on Sunday (3.20pm) while Edinburgh Kool Kats are away to Falkirk Fury for their final game, also on Sunday at the Mariner sports centre (1.05pm).
