Edinburgh Uni girls on top form for crown

THE Edinburgh Uni women’s team, who have three games left in their Scottish Universities campaign, look certain to take the title after a 90-17 win over Aberdeen.

Claire Paxton led the home scoring with 23, while Beth Mackie added 18 and Hilary Wood six. All three will play for Polonia Phoenix against Glasgow Rocks in the Scottish League at Cumbernauld on Sunday (12.20pm).
