Curling: Scots Curlers’ Sochi seven

Capital curler Jennifer Dodds starred in The Magnificent Seven as Scotland scored their seventh straight victory at the World Junior Championships in Sochi last night.

The defending champions, led by Lockerbie skip Hannah Fleming, maintained their 100 per cent record in Russia with a 7-3 win over Denmark’s Stephanie Nielsen. Fleming led 2-0 and 4-1 but Nielsen kept plugging away, and the Scots were under pressure until they picked up two stones at the eighth end.
