Basketball: Close call

Edinburgh face Glasgow in the crunch game of the bottom two teams in the British Universities Northern Premier Basketball League at the Pleasance later today (5.30pm) knowing victory will secure their place in the top division again next season.

The Capital students beat Glasgow in their first encounter earlier this season but the margin was only 72-70 so winless Glasgow need only a three-point win to turn the tables.

Beforehand, Edinburgh University women have a tough home game against Leeds Carnegie (3.30pm).
