Achara nets deal in Greece

Great BRITAIN’S Olympic basketball star Kieron Achara
has signed for Greek club
Kavala for the second half of the season, writes SANDY SUTHERLAND.

The 29-year-old Stirling High FP and former Duquesne College (US) player was at Glasgow Rocks but resigned at the start of this month and turned out for former club Falkirk Fury in their Scottish Cup semi-final against Edinburgh Kings.

Kings won by almost 30 points with Achara not having the most successful of games, but he can now resume his
professional career after failing to clinch a deal in Spain.
