Nani in fear of 'complicated' Fergie
MANCHESTER United winger Nani has described Sir Alex Ferguson as a "complicated man" and says the Scot is still prone to some infamous rants.
Not that any of us thought Fergie was taking it easy in his old age – only yesterday, he was handed a touchline ban and fined 20,000 after moaning about referee Alan Wiley.
Nani, who has struggled this season to fill the boots of his Portuguese compatriot Ronaldo, revealed in a newspaper interview back home that his patchy form has earned him the wrath of his manager at Old Trafford.
"Ferguson is a very complicated man," said Nani. "He's tough. If things are all right, then they are all right. But when he thinks something is wrong, everything is screwed."
Nani, a 16.5million signing from Sporting Lisbon in July 2007, added: "He can go from complimenting you to just plain trashing you in a matter of minutes. Has it happened to me? Hell, yes. He'll say, 'Nani, how could you miss this or this?'
"He shouts at players in front of everyone. No-one escapes, everybody is the same. (Ryan] Giggs and (Gary] Neville suffer most, because they have more experience."
