Nade puts a smile on Hearts boss' face
CSABA LASZLO believes that Hearts supporters could finally see the best of Christian Nade in the next few months.
Last month, Laszlo, who is short of options up front, admitted the striker's physical condition was not good enough to merit a place in the starting line-up at Tynecastle.
As a result, the Frenchman has been put through a punishing schedule to try to bring his fitness levels back up to scratch.
The player came on to replace David Witteveen just after half-time at Pittodrie on Saturday and showed some decent touches, despite not hitting the back of the net.
Laszlo, for one, saw improvements in the frontman's game and believes Hearts could be set to reap the benefits of a leaner, meaner Nade.
Laszlo said: "I was very happy with Christian Nade's performance against Aberdeen.
"He has had a very hard month but he has put that behind him and I think he showed me and the Hearts supporters what kind of player he can be."
Laszlo also singled out Lee Wallace for praise, asserting that the young defender had put in his best performance of the season so far against the Dons.
Wallace put in a solid display in the 1-1 draw in Aberdeen, a result which moved Hearts onto eight points in the SPL table and Laszlo added: "I was also very impressed with Lee Wallace after his call-up to the national team.
"I think that on Saturday he had his best game of the season.
"In previous matches, he was maybe not so good but slowly, slowly he has come back to form.
"At the moment, I am not looking at the table, that is only important at the end of the season.
"Our target is to be in the best six. I think that at the moment, especially with the young players in our side, we are doing a good job."
Meanwhile Laszlo has warned Larry Kingston he'll have to toe the party line at Tynecastle or find himself a new club.
The midfielder made his first appearance of the season at the weekend, coming on as a second-half substitute for Suso.
Kingston was fined 40,000 for a bust-up with his manager over his appearances for Ghana, despite being unfit to play for the Jambos. Laszlo's side looked a more solid unit after the 28-year-old's introduction at Pittodrie but the Hearts boss left his player in no doubt that no-one is bigger than the club and said: "I am the manager and I always look out for the club.
"So long as I am in charge, nobody – not the directors, not my co-trainer, not the players – will do what they want. They must do what the club and the team wants and what is best for the club."
