Mumbai to host 2011 final
MUMBAI will stage the final of the 2011 one-day World Cup, which is being jointly hosted by India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
The local organising committee met yesterday and finalised venues for India’s 29 matches, the Board of Control for Cricket in India said in a statement. A total of 49 matches will be played in the three countries during the event.
Mohali will stage a semi-final and Ahmedabad a quarter-final. Those two venues and Mumbai will also stage two other games.
New Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore, Nagpur and Kolkata will stage four matches apiece, including one involving India.
